Front Desk Observations As I observed the library I noticed students came for multiple reasons. Many students filled the library using the computers, group study rooms, printing/copying rooms, and individual study cubbies. Many carried back packs while some came almost empty handed. While I was there people were coming and leaving probably from/for class. Students of all race and gender came to the library for a common purpose to do work. I also noticed the library was clean, organized, quiet and provides many resources. The students I interviewed that go to the library daily usually go a couple hours a day. From their busy schedules I can conclude they go to the library wit h purpose – to get as much work complete as possible so they have time to do other things such as go to the gym, work a job, and relax. For dairy 3, I am guessing they go between classes because they live off or on upper campus.
From the data collected the majority of people who went to the library spent 2 or more hours there completing work or studying. Time Diaries Diary 1
